The Role: As an Operations Manger, you’ll play a pivotal role in the European Operations Team. You will independently manage the logistical flows of our European sugar business, ensuring smooth transportation and delivery of sugar across various modes of transport. This is your chance to shine in a fast-paced, global environment, coordinating with traders, producers, and clients to optimize the supply chain. The offices are currently based in Zvoleněves. In a few months, they will be relocated to Slaný, and toward the end of the year, the company will finally settle in Prague.
key responsibilities:
... - liaison with clients to understand delivery plans and organise stock of products and EU logistics team to execute accordingly
- with Commercial and Shipping team, to liaise with global base of origin suppliers (ie, Colombia, Brazil, Eswatini, India, Vietnam etc) to understand production plans, shipment requirements and subsequent planning with Shipping team, to meet stock requirements
- management of relationships with multiple EU warehouses (Belgium, UK, Italy etc), including visiting warehouses to improve supply chain, make process more efficient, improve costings etc
- management of EU logistics team, organising transport of goods from warehouses to clients as per orders
- working with container freight team to improve freight costs and general service contracts
- working closely with Commercial Team to drive flow improvement, plan for future business requirements and generally drive business execution

who we are looking for
- experienced logistics specialist or trained freight forwarder
- knowledge of laws, regulations, international logistics, incoterms, and trade documentation
- understanding of European customs regulations
- strong organizational skills to handle logistics for containers, vessels, trucks, and trains
- ability to work independently and multitask in a dynamic environment, occasionally traveling
- proficiency in English & Czech; additional European languages are a plus
- excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word
- analytical, detail-oriented, and a proactive team player
