September's unemployment rate registered an increase, higher than in previous years. One of the main reasons is the end of seasonal work, boosted by the onset of rainy weather. Recruitment has been suspended or reduced by a number of companies, for example in the automotive sector, a segment strongly linked to Germany, which is currently struggling. And it is this very sector that occupies an important position in our economy. Another negative influence was caused by the floods, which disrupted recruitment plans in the affected areas. Traditionally, school graduates have also contributed to the rise in unemployment during this period, as they have started to report to the employment offices after graduation and the bridging period.
